What is Relay For Life?

Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser of the American Cancer Society! Here at UVA it is a 12 hour event held each Spring following a year of events and fundraisers. 

Is Relay actually a relay? Do I have to run?

No! Relay is not actually a run. Participants walk the track with their teams as they please - the idea of Relay is to symbolize that cancer never sleeps and never takes a minute off.

How do I join a team?

Grab some of your friends and create your own! Or find an existing team on our official ACS website here. Once you've joined, start fundraising! Check out our "GET INVOLVED" tab to find new fundraiser ideas, or fill out the contact form ATTN: Fundraising Chairs for more ideas!

I love Relay For Life, is there any way to get more involved?

Become a team captain! Or be sure to check out our "GET INVOLVED" tab after our big event on April 11th-12th, 2014 to find our Executive Committee application and join our 90 member exec body!

I am a business owner who would like to become a Corporate Sponsor, how do I go about that?

How do I donate to Relay For Life at UVA?

If you would like to donate to a specific participant, go onto our ACS website and search their name. On their page, there should be a button that says "Donate". Click on it, enter your payment information and you're all set! If you would simply like to donate to our event, please feel free to click on our donate button on our home page, or simply click here.
