ABOUT RELAY

Welcome to Relay for Life at UVA! Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature fundraising activity. It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Relay For Life is a life-changing event that brings together more than 5,200 communities in over 20 countries to celebrate, remember, and fight back against cancer.

Here at the University of Virginia, Relay For Life is the largest student-run philanthropy on Grounds! With a general Executive Council of over 100 members, headed by our wonderful event co-chairs Maggie and Caroline and executive chairs, Relay For Life is a great way to raise awareness and help the fight against cancer! From participants to team captains to executive council members to chairs, there is a level of involvement for anyone and everyone! If you are interested in participating, visit our "Get Involved" tab to learn how to join us!

During the 2016-2017 school year the event raised $135,000! For the 2017-2018 school year, Relay for Life at UVA is aiming to fundraise $200,000. Check out our "News" page to learn about the latest and greatest things that have been going on, and the "Calendar" to see what is coming up in the future!  Plus, don't forget to sign up for the main event on Friday April 13-14 from 4 pm to 4 am!

We can't wait for your help in finishing the fight!

With so much RelayLove,

The UVA Relay For Life Executive Committee
